Important things to know about soccer

Football field area:

Matches may be played on natural or artificial surfaces, under the rules of the competition in question.

Football field dimensions:

The football field must be rectangular. The length of the touch line must in all cases be greater than the length of the goal line.

Minimum length of the football field: 90 m
Maximum length of the football field: 120 m
Minimum width of the football field: 45 m
Maximum width of the football field: 90 m

International matches and football field:
Minimum length of the football field: 100 m
Maximum length of the football field: 110 m
Minimum width of the football field: 64 m
Maximum width of the football field: 75 m

Marking the football field:
The football field to be marked by lines. These lines are part of the surfaces they define.
The two lines longer boundary are called lignesde button. The two shorter lines are called goal.
All lines have a maximum width of 12 cm. The soccer field is divided into two halves by a halfway line.
The central point is marked in the middle of the median line. Around dece point is drawn a circle of 9.15 m radius.

The Goal Area:
At each end of the football field is a defined goal area with following specifications:
Two lines are drawn at right angles to the goal line at 5.50 m from the inside of each goalpost. These lines extend into the football field over a distance of 5.50 m and are joined by a line drawn parallel with the goal line. The bounded by these lines and the goal line space is called the goal area.

The penalty:
At each end of the field is defined a penalty with the following specifications: Two lines are drawn at right angles to the goal line at 16.50 m from the inside of each goalpost. These lines extend into the field of play for a distance of 16.50 m and are joined by a line drawn parallel with the goal line.
The bounded by these lines and the goal line space the penalty area.
Within each penalty area is marked the penalty mark to 11 m from the center of the goal line and equidistant between the goalposts.
Outside each penalty is traced an arc of 9.15 m radius with center at the point of kicking repair.

Flags:
At each corner, should be planted a flag with a pole – blunt – amounting to at least 1.50 m above the ground. Similar flags can also be placed at each end of the center line, at least 1 m from the sidelines, outside the field of play

The arc corner:
Each corner flag, is drawing a quarter circle with a radius of 1 m inside the field of play

Goals:
Goals are placed at the center of each goal line. They consist of two upright posts equidistant from the corner flags and joined at the top by a horizontal crossbar.
The inner distance between the posts is 7.32 m and the lower edge of the crossbar lays 2.44m soil.
The goalposts and crossbar have the same width and thickness, which shall not exceed 12 cm. The goal lines are the same width as the goalposts and the crossbar. Nets may be attached to the goals and the ground behind the goal, provided that they are properly supported and do not interfere with the goalkeeper.
Both goalposts and crossbars must be white.
